How Odonto Fácil notes are made
Odonto Fácil by dra_iswmi is a free study platform for dental students and future dental students. It was created by Iswmi Medina, a dental student in the Dominican Republic.
Where the information comes from
- Every fact comes from an official source or a peer-reviewed scientific article: the MSD Manual Professional Version, the CDC, the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), PubMed Central articles and dental school textbooks.
- Each note has its list of sources with links, so you can check them yourself.
- If two sources disagree on a number (for example, in millimeters or ages), the note says so.
- This version is a translation of the original notes in Spanish. If a term doesn't sound right to you, write to us.
Photos and diagrams
- The photos are real and come from Wikimedia Commons, with licenses that allow their use with credit. Each photo's credit is on the photo and at the bottom of the page.
- Every photo is checked before it's used. If a photo doesn't show the anatomy well, it isn't used.
- When there's no clear photo, the diagram is drawn by hand in code, like the odontogram in the FDI practice.
Important: this is study material. It doesn't replace your textbooks, your professors or a visit to a dentist. If you find a mistake, write to us on Instagram at @dra_iswmi and we'll fix it.
